In this interview, Steve Parks discusses a publication he oversaw at Syracuse University, Revolution by Love, which commented on the Arab Spring protests. Steve speaks of the author-activists’ desire to convey their commitment to their home countries through the word love: “It’s not revolution for hate, it’s not revolution for some dismissal of their country’s heritage, it’s not revolution for some arcane political policy. It’s like revolution that grows out of a deep and abiding love for their country, and for the citizens that exist within it.”
